About Jacqueline Francis 

Jacqueline Francis is an award-winning journalist, reporting for WOOD TV8 (NBC) in Grand Rapids, MI.

Born and raised in the metro Detroit area, Jacqueline was thrilled to move back to her home state and join the News 8 team in August 2019.

Jacqueline’s breaking news coverage of the May 2020 riot in downtown Grand Rapids was awarded a prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow Award along with two Emmy nominations.

Jacqueline comes to Grand Rapids by way of Central Illinois where she spent two years as a multimedia reporter and fill-in-anchor at the local FOX affiliate.

Jacqueline earned her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She graduated in May 2017, with a B.A. in Convergence Journalism and a concentration in Political Science.
